The mixed solution was passed to a flow cell and portions of 267 µL oscillated to-and-fro over a Pt auxiliary electrode plus a Hg-coated glassy C electrode at -900 mV vs. a Ag/AgCl reference electrode sited in the waste stream. Using zero, 4 and 8 sample oscillations, calibration graphs were linear for 0-1000 ppb of Cu(II), non-linearity being observed with 16 sample oscillations.',

Abstract:
Portions of 100 µL of a solution of Cu(II) in 100 mM HCl were injected into a carrier stream (2 ml/min) of 1 mg/l of mercury(II) nitrate in 100 mM HCl and were mixed in a 1.5 m long PTFE coil.
