Abstract:
A new chemiluminescence (CL) flow injection method was proposed for the determination of ofloxacin in pharmaceuticals in the range 0.04-4 µg mL-1 with a detection limit of 0.016 µg mL-1 and a relative standard derivation (RSD) of 2.2% at 0.4 µg mL-1 (n=10). The method is based on the CL reaction of cerium(IV) with sulfite sensitized by ofloxacin. The established procedure could be applied to the determination of ofloxacin in tablet, capsule and injection in agreement with the results obtained by using reported methods.
